90 Day Fiance Star Geoffrey Paschel Sentenced To 18 Years In Prison

Reality TV

TLC’s 90 Day Fiance never fails to introduce us to some of the wackiest TV characters that reality TV has ever seen. We’ve met cat-loving mama’s boys like Colt Johnson (and his mother Debbie Johnson, who’s a star in her own right.) Additionally, the over-the-top diva twins Darcey Silva and Stacey Silva managed to get their own spinoff on the network. TLC has created its own breed of celebrities without a doubt. Because the show centers around people with enough guts to marry strangers from other countries, sometimes, there are a few bad apples in the mix. TLC’s definitely had to fire a few stars for one reason or another. Oftentimes, it has to do with some sort of criminal activity.

Geoffrey Paschel appeared on Season 4 of 90 Day Fiance: Before The 90 Days with his Russian love interest Varya Malina. Since he made his debut, trouble has followed. Fans of the show signed a petition to get him removed due to his criminal record, and there was always something off about him. Unsurprisingly, his relationship with Varya did not work out. But following his brief foray into reality TV, Geoffrey found himself with even more trouble with the law. And this time, he’s going to be going away for a long time.

Geoffrey was convicted of aggravated kidnapping and domestic assault involving his former fiance (who did not appear on 90 Day). The charges came after he assaulted the woman and refused to let her leave her residence, forcing her to escape to a neighbors house to call the police. Now, according to E! OnlineGeoffrey has been sentenced to 18 years in prison without the possibility of parole.

The District Attorney of Knox County, Tennessee said that the sentence will prevent other victims from being abused by Geoffrey for a very long time. The 90 Day Fiance star maintains his innocence, and his lawyer intends to pursue a new trial and/or appeal his sentencing. It sounds like justice was served against a man who has a bad violent habit.
