Noella Bergener Accused Of Blowing Off $300K Lawsuit Against Her

Reality TV

I’m just going to say it – Noella Bergener is a hot mess. The Real Housewives of Orange County newbie is giving us so much, I don’t even think we can keep up. And I’m not talking about on the show. Noella is in the middle of a heated divorce battle with husband James Bergener. I think we all saw the writing on the wall when it was revealed before season 16 even aired that James owed a whopping $5.8 mil in taxes. A few weeks later, James filed for divorce, seemingly catching Noella off guard. About both the taxes and the divorce.

Ever since then, the two have been mudslinging all over social media and the press. Noella has accused James of “controlling [her] with money.” Noella has also said that James, who is a prominent attorney in California, threatened to sue Bravo. But now it looks like Noella has some legal problems of her own.

As reported by Radar Online, Noella allegedly owes almost $300K to the law firm Fried and Goldsman. The suit is for unpaid work after Noella hired the firm to handle a paternity battle with her ex, with whom she shares a daughter with. The paternity suit took place back in 2014. The legal firm claimed that they worked on her case until 2018, when it was finally settled.

News dropped back in December that Noella was served papers for the lawsuit from the debt collector named Creditors Adjustment after 4 attempts. But documents show that Noella has yet to respond to the lawsuit. Her lack of response could result in a default against her. If that is granted, the creditors could then seek a default judgement against Noella, meaning, she would need to cough up the money.

Noella is claiming that the allegations are “unfounded.” And a source close to her said that Noella believes the money should be paid by her ex-husband, per the divorce settlement.

So Noella’s saga continues. This is obviously way worse than when she had to stop flying private. And while her life is in complete chaos, she’s busy chasing down that second season orange. Considering her ongoing drama, she just might get it.
