Andy Cohen Calls Jennie Nguyen’s Facebook Posts “Disgusting;” Claims Bravo Is Having “Serious Discussions” About Jennie

Reality TV

Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is THE moment right now, and not necessarily all for positive reasons. However, the drama and bad behavior is making for entertaining TV, nonetheless. Of course, there’s Jen Shah’s impending court case that’s sure to take up a lot of our brain space. We have Meredith Marks and Lisa Barlow fighting over a hot mic moment that hasn’t even officially aired yet. And where in the world is Mary Cosby?

Of course, the latest RHOSLC snowflake holder Jennie Nguyen has found herself in her first scandal, and boy is it ugly. Jennie got called out for offensive Facebook posts from 2020, many mocking the Black Lives Matter movement. Honestly, the red flags were there, looking back. Her co-stars dropped her like it’s hot because that’s just sooooooo uncool. It’s one of the first times I feel like I can say Jen Shah is on the right side of history. Maybe Mary was onto something when she said she wanted nothing to do with Jennie.

Lisa appeared on Watch What Happens Live this week after the latest RHOSLC episode and all of the Jennie drama was exposed. She and Andy Cohen briefly spoke about the Jennie controversy, but it wasn’t much. It seems like Bravo gave Kenya Moore soooo much more heat for her Native American costume, which was also uncool. But the network has been silent about Jennie’s post so far, even though its stars have spoken out. The silence speaks volumes.

Andy went on his SirusXM show Radio Andy and couldn’t avoid talking about the Jennie of it all, Page Six reports. “The posts were very upsetting … and disgusting,” Andy said. He added that Lisa’s WWHL appeared was filmed on Wednesday, right after the disgusting posts arose, so he blames that on the lack of response. Girl, Bravo could’ve posted a quick Notes app apology like Jennie and called it a day. But no, apparently that was too much.

Andy acknowledged people’s frustrations with the lack of response about the post, particularly on WWHL. “I just want to say, in case anyone doesn’t realize it, that there are many serious discussions happening right now about everything,” Andy said. “I can’t address the situation right now, but it will be addressed very soon, and thank you for your patience.” Hello? We already know the reunion was filmed well before Jennie’s disturbing posts arose. It takes literally two minutes to make a post condemning Jennie on Instagram, at least to hold fans over for the moment. To put it in the words of Meredith, there’s absolutely no disengaging possible on this topic. Where’s the accountability, huh?

TELL US – DO YOU THINK ANDY IS WRONG FOR BEING VAGUE ABOUT JENNIE’S FUTURE ON TV? DO YOU THINK BRAVO SHOULD HAVE ADDRESSED THIS ISSUE BY NOW?
