Jen Shah Says She Won’t Be Back For Real Housewives Because She Slammed Jennie Nguyen For Posts Against Black Lives Matter

Reality TV

The fallout continues. This season of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City has been dramatic to say the least. Viewers thought the main source of tension would be Jen Shah’s now infamous arrest and Mary Cosby’s church being an alleged cult. We didn’t realize we were going to get a fire storm of racial controversy both on and off screen.

Both Mary and newbie Jennie Nguyen were accused of being racially insensitive during filming. At one point to each other. Mary likened Jen to a “Mexican thug” . She also told Jennie that she liked her “slanted eyes.” Jennie was accused of using a “Black accent” when speaking with Mary. Jennie vowed to hold people accountable but forgot the most important person – herself. Because it was recently revealed that Jennie made a bunch of racially offensive posts on her Facebook account. Which she then deleted. But it was too late. She was busted and quickly issued what I would consider a tone deaf apology.

Jen was quick to slam Jennie and rightfully called her out on Instagram. Jen posted in part,“It was infuriating to see her like and repost comments that made a mockery of and showed complete apathy toward those killed marching to bring awareness to the deep-seeded social justice issues that plague our country. I am equally disappointed by the disingenuous apology that was issued. Needless to say, we have some real sh*t to talk about.” Now Jen might take it one step further, hinting that she won’t return for season 3 of RHOSLC. In a screen shot posted by @therealhousewiveszone, Jen had a DM exchange with a fan.

While it remains unconfirmed by Jen, the screenshot showed a fan ask, “Jen are you coming back next season?! I see Bravo is casting for more SLC wives.” To which Jen responded, “I was until I posted tonight regarding Jennie’s anti BLM posts.” Wow. Again, Jen hasn’t confirmed this anywhere else and maybe she was just blowing off steam. But it’s completely understandable why she would be so mad. The entire cast should be mad. Which is likely the case. Especially given that no one liked or responded to Jennie’s sad excuse for an apology.

So Jen might be a controversial figure but she’s not wrong about Jennie. And she’s the first of the RHOSLC cast to speak out. Hopefully the rest are close behind.
