Emily Simpson Says Vicki Still Has Her Blocked On Instagram; Feels “Badly” About How Steve Lodge Treated Vicki

Reality TV

Emily Simpson, Real Housewives of Orange County’s good lawyer, let it be known that she is not shocked at all about how bad Vicki Gunvalson and Steve Lodge’s relationship turned out. The OG of the OC, Vicki, and her latest beau, Steve, ended their love story in the fall of 2021 right after his huge loss in the race to be the next governor of the State of California. According to Bravo’s The Daily Dish, Emily definitely had a lot to share about Vicki’s relationship, rightfully so, being she was there to watch a lot of it all play out.

RHOC viewers may recall how tough it was for Emily to get acclimated and find her footing in the Housewives circle. Like any addition to the group, the OG did not make it easy for Emily to fit in at all. Vicki made it pretty clear that she had no interest at all in ‘whooping it up’ with Emily. Not very much has changed with that. “No [I haven’t talked to her]. I think Vicki blocked me, like years ago, and I’m still blocked,” Emily shared on a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live.

“No, I wasn’t shocked.” Emily added, “I feel badly, though, because I think Vicki deserves someone who treats her the way she should be treated. I like Vicki. I think she was great on the show. I think she deserves someone that treats her with respect and love, and she needs that.”

The most glamorous esquire in the OC is not the only one holding anything back about how badly she feels about Vicki’s contemptible taste in men. Emily brought up a time she remembers speaking with Vicki’s own brother, who let it be known that Steve actually was not really feeling Vicki at all. Emily sustained, “I felt like he was an opportunist, and I think the red flags were there.”

After meeting in 2016 and getting engaged back in 2016, the Insurance Peddler and Detective eventually called off their love affair in September of 2021. Vicki found out that he proposed to Janis Carlson in January, just three measly months after splitting with him. Holding reign as the self-proclaimed Queen of the OC, Vicki even went as far as to say that Steve used her fame and popularity to win favor of the good people of California during his race for governor.

Vicki and Emily certainly have had their moments, but the legal lady is not opposed to the OG returning to RHOC. Regardless of Vicki’s thoughts of her, Emily is actually a good addition to the circle. Look, you have to have one or two regular down to earth people on these Housewives franchises otherwise the narcissism and delusion will ultimately take over. I like that Emily speaks her mind and will just go off every now and then. I mean, when Emily lets it out, it is incredible television- much like the OG herself. Regardless, even though Vicki still has Emily blocked, it is clear that she has Emily’s support in her steadfast quest for love.
