Colombia’s Ximena is the first person that Mike from New York really fell in love with after being single for almost all of his life. The 34-year-old met Ximena on a dating app a year ago, and they’ve discussed getting married and having kids together. While Mike thinks he knows Ximena “fairly well,” she unknowingly revealed most of her real intentions and past secrets on episode 3 of the 90 Day Fiancé spin-off. The onscreen action seemed to show that she is using the American man to get her baby daddy out of jail.
Mike is being called one of the nicest men ever to appear on 90 Day Fiancé. He was seen taking care of his grandfather, playing with Lego blocks, and learning how to make pancakes for his future wife. Mike looked forward to meeting Ximena in person in her country but worried that language would be their biggest problem. When Mike went to buy toys for Ximena’s sons with his friends John and Nelcy, he innocently revealed that he helped her with “rent, things like that, temporarily,” and “the fridge and the washing machine, that’s it.”
Ximena showed off her house on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, and fans assumed that Mike hadn’t told the whole truth. Ximena gave the cameras a tour of her house, which has a couch, a dining table, a stove, a food processor, and a coffee machine, as well as the fridge and washing machine. Ximena appeared to have met the man on Facebook while he was in prison, and talked to him for four or five months before she paid him a visit in jail. “I got it in my head that I wanted to have a child. I would put my feet up for me to actually get pregnant,” explained Ximena about how she conceived her son during her second visit to jail. Because the man will have to spend “a lot of time,” behind bars, Ximena accepted that she wants “someone who can support me now.”
All these clues make fans feel like Ximena is going to spend all of Mike’s money. They want him to wake up and see who Ximena really is. Upon realizing what she’d said, she quickly corrected herself with, “I did love him very much.” Ximena told the cameras that there are more things about her past she hasn’t told Mike yet.
