Porsha Williams has been all over lately, despite her departure from Real Housewives of Atlanta. It seems like she is in the news more than ever, and for good reason. The former housewife made plenty of headlines after her controversial relationship with Simon Guobadia. For reference, he was married to Falynn Guobadia on the last season of RHOA, when Porsha allegedly met him. Falynn and Simon then went through a contentious divorce and Porsha seemingly slipped right in. The couple were only together for a month when they announced an engagement.
Porsha took a lot of heat for being a man stealer but she pushed forward. She even decided to sign on for a spin off about her family and new relationship. I’m not sure if it’s been a success but I’m sure Porsha is trying her hardest. She has also gone into the literary world, releasing a memoir titled, The Pursuit of Porsha. But even her book promos are stirring up controversy.
As reported by Page Six, Porsha was recently heckled by anti-fur activists, who are slamming her for wearing fur. At a recent book signing in West Hollywood, an activist blasted Porsha and yelled, “Ladies and gentlemen, I am not here to interrupt anything! I want to bring something to your attention that’s very important – ‘The Real Housewives’ support fur and wear fur!”
It’s actually unclear if Porsha was wearing real fur that day or not. From the looks of photos, she doesn’t appear to be. But her recent promo photos of the book show her sporting a dark brown fur vest. It’s unclear as to what type of fur she’s wearing.
While Porsha tried to ignore her, the activist continued, “We are here to ask Porsha – Porsha please stop wearing fur! I’m a big fan, and I really ask you to please go fur-free! Animals are skinned alive! It’s not fashion!”

The woman was then escorted out of the store and Porsha fans who lined up for the book signing supported Porsha by chanting “We love fur! We love fur!” Eek! Imagine taking a stand for fur. Just to support an ex-housewife who stole someone’s husband and is now profiting off the scandal.
Anyway, Porsha completely ignored the activist and continued signing books and taking pics with fans. After all, she has a book to promote! So it doesn’t look like the activist got anywhere with her pleas but maybe Porsha will at least think about throwing on another fur vest for her promos. Here’s hoping.
