Vanderpump Rules star Lala Kent and Randall Emmett have always had a somewhat tumultuous relationship. Before Lala stopped drinking, their relationship could be volatile. Now Lala is celebrating three years of sobriety.
Randall divorced his wife, actress Ambyr Childers, in 2017. In September of 2018, Randall popped the question to Lala in Cabo San Lucas. The duo’s wedding was postponed because of the coronavirus pandemic in March of 2020.
In September of 2020, Lala announced that she was pregnant. In March of 2021, Lala and Randall welcomed their daughter into the world. Lala posted an adorable photo on Instagram with her baby and captioned it “Ocean Kent Emmett.”
It is interesting to see Lala navigating motherhood along with Scheana Shay on Season 9 of VPR. Scheana welcomed a daughter, Summer Moon Honey Davies, with her fiancé, Brock Davies, on April 26, 2021. She shared the good news, and a precious photo, on Instagram.
There was trouble in paradise for Lala when photos surfaced of a man who resembled Randall hanging out with two women in Nashville. Lala acted swiftly and deleted every photo of Randall from her Instagram. She certainly acted as though she believed that Randall may have cheated. Randall is also in some financial hot water–again. He claimed that he was in debt and close to bankruptcy in a child support hearing. Oof.

Lala moved out of the home that she shared with Randall. During a recent episode of her podcast, Give Them Lala…With Randall, Lala told her guest, Pump Rules alum Brittany Cartwright, “I want to acknowledge that I’m sure everyone knows what is going on between Randall and myself and just in my personal life.” She continued, “There will be a time where I feel comfortable enough to open up and share. Today is definitely not that day,” Lala commented. “It’s been a lot; I’m going through a lot.”
Randall and Lala’s split was officially confirmed by Randall’s attorney. An insider told People that “Lala was completely blindsided by all of this and was living in the dark for so long. But now she is doing the best she can to keep her chin up and pushing forward with taking care of her daughter and supporting her family,” the source added.
According to the insider, Lala is “focusing all of her attention right now on the well-being of her daughter Ocean and keeping up with her many business ventures to provide for her family as a single mom.” No wonder Lala hiked up the price of her Cameo videos to $250 for a personal video, and a whopping $5,000 for a business-related video.

During her most recent podcast, Lala addressed her split with Randall. “I take it one minute at a time because a 7-month-old can’t sit around and wait for you to get over s–t. You better keep your f–king head up and do your thing,” Lala remarked. “So that’s what I do.”
Lala admitted that she never pictured a future without Randall. She “never thought that my life would be where it is right now and that’s OK.” Lala explained that “you have to be grateful for every experience.”
Lala revealed that she is trying to stay in a positive mindset amid the split. “For me, I look at it and I’m like, ‘I would never have Ocean.’ This independence that I have wouldn’t be here. It just feels amazing,” she said.
“If anyone doesn’t fit into your evolution and if your evolution involves you being happy or healthy and there are a lot of pluses to the changes you’ve made and people don’t fit into that anymore, not my issue, I’m burning the bridge,” Lala stated. So far, I am impressed with Lala’s maturity handling this break-up.
