A stuntman filming scenes for “America’s Got Talent: Extreme” has been airlifted to a hospital following a horrifying on-set accident.

Jonathan Goodwin, 41, was partway through recording a stunt for the “AGT” spinoff on Thursday when he was reportedly crushed between two cars, according to a report from TMZ.

A spokesperson for “America’s Got Talent: Extreme” confirmed the incident in a statement to The Post.

“During a rehearsal last evening for ‘America’s Got Talent: Extreme,’ an accident occurred in which escape artist Jonathan Goodwin was injured while performing his act,” they said. “He was responsive and was immediately taken to the hospital where he is continuing to receive medical care. Our thoughts and prayers go out to him and his family as we await further updates on his condition.”

The incident was so horrific that some crew members initially believed Goodwin was dead, TMZ added. According to the site, Goodwin has undergone surgery and is in a trauma unit. His current condition is unclear.

Goodwin — who was featured on “America’s Got Talent” last year — was reportedly performing a stunt while suspended 70 feet in the air.

Two cars were suspended on either side of the daredevil, who was aiming to swing back and forth between the vehicles without getting crushed.

However, Goodwin allegedly became “sandwiched” between the cars, which then exploded and “erupted in a gigantic fireball,” according to the TMZ story.

Goodwin fell to the ground, hit his head and was initially unresponsive.

The stuntman — who hails from the United Kingdom — is no stranger to performing death-defying stunts on television. He appeared on “Britain’s Got Talent” in 2019.

Last year, he made it to the semifinals of “America’s Got Talent.” One stunt he performed on the show saw him catch fire as he attempted to release himself from a pair of handcuffs.

“AGT: Extreme” only began filming its first season earlier this month.

According to a press release from NBC, the series “will showcase the most outrageous, unique and jaw-dropping acts of enormous scale and magnitude.”

The series will be hosted by Terry Crews, with Simon Cowell, WWE star Nikki Bella and stuntman Travis Pastrana serving as judges.
