Andy Cohen Says Cynthia Bailey “Drove A Lot Of The Story” On Real Housewives Of Atlanta

Reality TV

There were whispers that Real Housewives of Atlanta was getting a cast shake-up for Season 14, and that Porsha Williams and Cynthia Bailey would be leaving. Cynthia dropped plenty of hints that she was turning in her peach.

On September 27, 2021, Cynthia made it official and announced that she was exiting the show. She shared the news on Instagram. “I have made the very difficult and heartfelt decision not to return for the next season of Real Housewives of Atlanta,” Cynthia wrote.

While Cynthia may not have had the most dynamic storylines on RHOA, her friendship with NeNe Leakes was a staple on the show. NeNe eventually tore up their friendship contract because Cynthia was friends with Kenya Moore.

NeNe, Cynthia, and Marlo Hampton recently hung out together at NeNe’s lounge. Maybe NeNe and Cynthia can repair their friendship now that they are both out of the spotlight.

50 Cynt married Peter Thomas during her first season on RHOA. During Season 13, Cynthia tied the knot with her soul mate Mike Hill. It is cool that Cynthia started her tenure on the show with a wedding and then ended it with another one. Iconic!

Andy Cohen gave his thoughts on Cynthia’s exit on his SiriusXM Radio Andy show. “Just class act. Love her,” Andy said of Cynthia. “Just…I have to say I think she…she had an unfair rap from people who would be like ‘she’s boring.’ Cynthia drove a lot of story on that show for a lot of years,” Andy remarked.

He continued, “She also was on the show for 12 years. She was aspirational. She was classy. Glamorous. And I hope that she will be…we’ll be seeing more of her on Bravo in some way,” Andy commented. “She’s…she’s an asset. She’s a plus.”

Of course, Cynthia is repping RHOA with Kenya on the new series Real Housewives All-Stars. The series features 7 housewives from different franchises. The group will live together in a house in Turks and Caicos. It sounds like Cynthia feuded with Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards. So don’t worry–Cynthia (and her cheekbones) will be back on your TV when the series launches.
