Meredith Marks Says Her Marriage Is The Strongest Its Ever Been Following Struggles Last Season On Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City

Reality TV

Meredith Marks and husband Seth Marks were introduced as Bravolebrities during the premiere season of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City at a seemingly low point in their relationship.  After over two decades of marriage, Seth and Meredith seemed at a breaking point.  They lived in separate states.  And when Seth came to visit his family in the Morman capital of the world, there was tension and strain.

It was tough to watch, though they were new to us.  Because there seemed to be a lot of love between them, and to her credit, Meredith never spoke ill of Seth on camera.  Bestie Lisa Barlow was brought to tears when she was told that Seth and Meredith decided on a trial separation.

By the end of the season, it seemed they were reaching some kind of reconciliation.  And happily, the duo are going strong for Season TwoMeredith was asked about the status of her relationship with Seth when she interviewed for Entertainment Tonight.  Surprisingly, Meredith revealed that this wasn’t the first time she contemplated divorce and that she and Seth separated “multiple times.”

“We are definitely much more of a united front,” Meredith said, “you met us at our absolute, absolute worst so it couldn’t go much further down, I’ll be honest. But you know every relationship has its ups and downs and that includes marriage. If you’re being honest and truthful, it’s never going to be perfect. That’s just not possible because we’re all human and everybody has a different point of view in certain things and you’ve got to work through them.”

“So Seth and I are definitely united and quite frankly in a very positive space and probably the strongest we’ve ever been together at this point,” Meredith added, “but there are a lot of bumps in the road, you don’t just get their easily.”

Indeed, the pair, and their son Brooks Marks seemed a cohesive family on the Season Two premiere.  They even had a Shabbat dinner together with Lisa and husband John Barlow.  All is well in Salt Lake City, and Seth and Meredith even celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary recently.

They celebrated together with a low-key dinner.  Meredith explained, “unfortunately on the actual anniversary Seth had a board meeting that day, so we kind of skipped that day and we just had a special dinner together a few days later.”

Meredith added, “we spent about a month in France together this summer so that was part of our celebration. We just had a really nice summer and lots of celebration. We don’t make anything too big out of that kind of stuff.”

While some marriages have crumbled under the Bravo spotlight, Meredith credits the cameras for forcing her to address necessary issues.  “I think Seth and I would both agree that the show really did help save our marriage,” Meredith said during the Season One reunion, “with the show you have to address thing, you can’t just sweep things under the rug and keep moving forward, which definitely, on my side, was a big part of the problem.”

Here’s one couple that navigated reality TV beautifully.  Meanwhile, Jen Shah revealed that she and Coach Sharrieff Shah almost divorced after the Season One reunion.  And that marriage is about to be strained to the max.
