Jack Antonoff has been named the 2021-2022 academic year artist-in-residence at NYU’s Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music. The residency will include masterclasses and workshops with students on music-making and production. It begins with a Q&A conversation today, September 10, at midday Eastern. The talk will be moderated by Jason King, chair of the Clive Davis Institute, and Lily Amiclo and Stella Smyth, who founded PAM (Producers Against Misogyny) and are students of recorded music at the university.

In a statement, King said; “We’re really excited to have Jack Antonoff on board as an Artist-in-Residence this year. Jack’s exceptional creativity speaks for itself—whether he’s making music for his own projects like Bleachers, or whether he’s helping shape the sounds of today’s most thrilling musicians as an in-demand songwriter and producer. Jack brings a sensational amount of experience and creative insight to his work, and it’s great that Clive Davis Institute students will be able to benefit from his generosity in such a direct way.
