Kelly Dodd Claims Heather Dubrow Previously Quit Because “She Got Demoted” And “Her Ego Got The Best Of Her”

Reality TV

Former Real Housewives of Orange County star Kelly Dodd is still lashing out after being fired. In June of 2021, Kelly was shown the door along with RHOC co-stars Braunwyn Windham-Burke and Elizabeth Lyn Vargas.

Kelly’s firing was hardly a shock. She repeatedly spread misinformation about the coronavirus. Kelly also mocked the Black Lives Matter movement by sporting a “Drunk Wives Matter” hat. The RHOC alum posted a photo in her Instagram Story, and it was shared on Housewives Addicted’s Twitter page.

But in Kelly’s world, she isn’t responsible for losing her job. That is all Braunwyn’s fault. Nothing is ever Kelly’s fault.

Heather Dubrow once said that she would never return to RHOC if Kelly was still there. And once Kelly was axed, “Fancy Pants was back! That’s right, Heather will be popping the champs for Season 16, and showing off her $21 million dollar home. I am here for it.

Heather left the show ahead of Season 12. “I have decided to go in another direction and do what’s best for my family and career,” she said in a statement. Heather denied that she was responsible for getting Kelly axed from RHOC. Heather said, “When I left the show, I felt like the culture of the show was changing and it wasn’t really in line with who I am or something that I felt comfortable in.”

In June, Kelly posted a video to her Instagram Story. In the video, which was shared on Instagram by @realhousewives, Kelly and her husband, Rick Leventhal, were getting vaccinated. “We got COVID on New Years. Heather Dubrow’s son gave it to us,” Kelly said.  After receiving a love letter from the Dubrow family’s lawyer, Kelly was forced to issue an apology. In a video that was shared by LoveAndyC on Twitter, you can enjoy Kelly giving the most sarcastic apology ever given.

Kelly broke the news that she had a podcast coming out, triumphantly proclaiming, “No one is going to cancel me!!” And Rick is working beside his wife, since he is no longer working for Fox News.

According to Page Six, Kelly comes for Heather in the first episode of her new podcast, Rick & Kelly Unmasked. And Kelly has some explosive claims about why her former co-star left RHOC.

Kelly stated, “She got demoted, and her ego got to her. She says that she quit because of the climate that was surrounding [the show]. … Well, that’s not true,” Kelly added. I never thought that Heather could have been demoted.

“She didn’t like it. Her ego got the best of her,” Kelly explained. “So, did she quit herself? Yeah, but she got demoted to a friend role.”

Page Six reported that in a second clip from the podcast, Kelly continued to lash out at Fancy Pants. Rick asked his wife, “What do you want to say to her?”

“To Heather? Go f–k yourself. Go sue me. Sue me,” Kelly said. “Lawyer up. Lawyer up. Clean out my bank account — let’s see how that works out for you.” Heather would probably add another room to her home.

Rick added, “It’s a good thing that we don’t have to censor ourselves on this show — say whatever the f–k we want. Can’t we? F–king a–holes.” Stay classy, Rick. “Pretentious bitch,” Kelly added.
