90 Day Fiance Star Sumit Singh’s Mom Moved In With Him And Jenny Slatten; Sumit’s Parents Still Don’t Want Them To Marry

Reality TV

90 Day Fiance: The Other Way is headed back to our TV screens soon and boy is it set to be drama-filled. One of the series’ central (and most controversial) couples is Jenny Slatten and Sumit Singh. The pair met over Facebook when Sumit was catfishing Jenny. After she learned of the real identity of the Indian native, she stayed with him anyway. God knows why. And while waiting for her wedding with her nearly 30-years-younger husband, she learned that Sumit was already married to a different woman. To say it was explosive doesn’t even cover it.

Last season of The Other Way, we saw Sumit officially get divorced and Jenny beg him to marry her while they also dealt with the COVID-19 pandemic. But the problem is still Sumit’s parents. They disapprove of their son’s 62-year-old fiance, with his mom going as far as to threaten suicide if the pair ever walk down the aisle. Yet for some reason, the pair aren’t giving up. And the new season is sure to explore even more of their tumultuous relationship.

Jenny and Sumit recently spoke to Us Weekly about the upcoming season and give an update on their relationship. “You can say that [they still disapprove],” Sumit said of his parents. “The last thing, which you saw, [was] a big fight, and now my mom decided just to move into the house.” Ohhhh boy. I can only imagine how toxic that household is. How has Jenny not booked her return ticket home to her kids and grandkids yet? Like girl this isn’t going to work. And now that mom is living under the same roof, there’s no way Jenny can relax at home whatsoever with her man.

Sumit said he’s still trying to “fix” the situation with his parents so he can get married. “I would love that. Yeah, definitely for sure, no doubt. I keep trying, I’m still trying,” Sumit said. And Jenny said “keep praying,” so it doesn’t sound like she’s too confident. Neither am I, sweetie.

Sumit said that despite his parents’ disapproval, his relationship with his brother has improved. “My brother is doing good as he also got married, almost a year [ago],” Sumit said. But the brothers still disagree about Sumit’s relationship. “If the parents are not agreeing with our relationship, then he can’t support us.” Jenny here is another MASSIVE RED FLAG. You can leave this relationship riddled with lies and hate and go on 90 Day Fiance: The Single Life to find a man who will actually put a ring on it.
