Erika Jayne Tom Girardi RHOBH Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills-4

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Erika Jayne is struggling right now. Every day, more headlines come out about the legal mess created by her husband, Tom Girardi. The former attorney is accused of failing to distribute $26 million in settlement funds to his clients. Tom also allegedly gave Erika a cool $20 million in loans from his law firm.

The RHOBH star filed for divorce from Tom, citing his cheating as the reason. But the timing makes it appear that the couple is supposedly trying to hang on to some of their assets. Tom admitted that he blew through $50 or $80 million dollars and is now broker than broke.

In March of 2021, Tom’s diagnosis of Alzheimer’s Disease went public. Tom’s brother, Robert Girardi, is now the official conservator of both Tom and his estate.

Tom and Erika’s mansion in Pasadena went on the market in May of 2021 for $13 million dollars–chapel included. It was believed to be worth $16 million. The asking price has now been lowered to $9.9 million dollars.

According to Daily Mail, Tom’s belongings from his Girardi & Keese law firm are going to be auctioned off on August 25, 2021. The auction is being handled by ThreeSixty Asset Advisors. The law firm’s biggest claim to fame is its involvement in a case against Pacific Gas & Electric. The firm represented 650 residents of the town of Hinkley, Texas in the case about contaminated water. The law firm won a $460 million dollar settlement.

That case inspired the 2000 film Erin Brockovich, which starred Julia Roberts and Albert Finney. Later, the group from Texas alleged that Tom embezzled their settlement funds. He is also accused of taking another $2 million dollars that belongs to the families of the tragic Lion Airplane 610 crash. This entire story makes me cringe.

So, what is on the auction block? You can bid on a piano, furniture, bronze statues, and books. Wine, artwork, a Cadillac DTS, sports memorabilia, and a printer will also be auctioned off. But there’s more! An Erin Brockovich movie poster signed by Julia Roberts is also available, as is an autographed Beach Boys record. The trustees overseeing Tom’s Chapter 7 bankruptcy hope to recover some of the money that he owes to creditors.

Meanwhile, Attorney Jay Edelson brought a class-action lawsuit against Tom and Erika on behalf of the the Lion Air Flight 610 plane crash victims. Tom previously stated that he planned plead the fifth. Now Tom is refusing to testify at an upcoming hearing.

During the most recent episode of RHOBH, Erika had a melt-down and fled Palm Springs just before news broke of her husband’s alleged misdeeds. Now Sutton Stracke wants to distance herself from Erika and Tom’s dumpster fire of legal problems. And some of Erika’s co-stars are wondering what she knew.

Erika claimed that she has no involvement in Tom’s legal woes. However, she is being investigated, and what she says on RHOBH is being transcribed. No matter how many mascara-soaked tears Erika cries, it looks like her situation grows worse by the day.
