Real Housewives Of Orange County Alum Jo De La Rosa Is Engaged

Jo de la Rosa

Who remembers the early years of the Real Housewives of Orange County?  When Vicki Gunvalson was still married to Donn Gunvalson and Slade Smiley was an eligible bachelor with a high-paying job?  Tamra Judge was still a Barney and had yet to be introduced to the series.

Back in the day, Jo De La Rosa was an OG “housewife,” the youngest in the series at 23.  She and Slade dated for the first two seasons, and even got engaged.  But being a kept woman didn’t suit the independent Jo, and she broke things off with Slade and moved to LA.  Slade moved on to RHOC alum Gretchen Rossi.  Meanwhile, Jo kept a low profile since leaving the show, but resurfaced over the weekend to share some very exciting news.

Jo is now engaged to music producer Taran Gray Peirson.  She shared a sweet picture of them cuddling in bed while she flashes her ring to the camera.  The Instagram post was captioned, “still feel like I’m dreaming the day after but last night, I said yes.”  According to Page Six, Peirson made the announcement by captioning a close-up image of the ring with the words, “Jo Peirson has a nice ‘ring’ to it.”

Jo and Taran started a pandemic romance after meeting on a dating app in June 2020.  They went public with their romance in December after Jo revealed the identity of her boyfriend, and joked that she only signed up for the dating app out of boredom.

They kept it virtual for the first three months, talking online and connecting via Zoom.  Jo and Peirson even shared, “I love yous” before meeting in person.  She explained, “I just felt like we had so much in common.  So, in the past, I’ve dated a lot of business guys. So you were — he was — a breath of fresh air because I was working in a really creative industry and so it was just nice to connect over that.”

This is Jo’s third engagement.  In 2015, she and CEO Mark Lovette were to be wed, but there is no confirmation that they went through with it.  Hopefully, the third time is a charm.
