Braunwyn Windham-Burke Wants To Return To Real Housewives Of Orange County Next Season; Says She’s A “Different Person”

Reality TV

Who even knows what the future holds for the Real Housewives of Orange County, the show that started it all. The OG of the OC Vicki Gunvalson and her messy sidekick Tamra Judge were out. And, to even my surprise, their absence was glaringly obvious as there was no whooping it up in sight. Shannon Beador was the wannabe ring leader of the rag-tag crew whose antics ranged from painfully boring to nauseatingly nasty. And let’s be honest, why does Kelly Dodd still have an orange in her hand after all of the controversial statements she’s made.

And arguably the most polarizing figure on RHOC these days is Braunwyn Windham-Burke. Many of us viewers can agree that Kelly is truly THE WORST, but Braunwyn is just an anomaly who loves the spotlight on her at all times. She’s gotten sober during her time on the show and came out as a lesbian who wanted to remain married to Sean Burke. Braunwyn’s tendency to lie and attempt to control the narrative backfired last season when the extent of her bad behavior and seemingly narcissistic personality were exposed.

RHOC is due for a cast shake-up, even Andy Cohen knows it. Bravo could bring back some old faves like Tammy Sue and Heather Dubrow, or revamp with all fresh meat. And in a recent interview with StylecasterBraunwyn really has her fingers crossed that one of the RHOC Season 16 contracts has her name on it. “I had a really tough season, but I got through it stronger and I got through it sober. I realized that try as hard as people want to silence me, it makes me louder,” she said. You don’t say?

She continued to talk about her activism, which we know is a sore spot with the other RHOC ladies who didn’t like being exposed for their silence and privilege. “The things I’m really passionate about, Black Lives Matter, LGBTQIA+ rights, representation in the media, mental health, I’m even more passionate now.”

Braunwyn added that she wants to come back now that she has a year of sobriety under her belt and some sense of self-awareness that will take actions, not words, to believe. “I would love to come back. The first year of sobriety is really hard. I am such a different person right now than I was a year ago. I would love to be able to film as this person,” Braunwyn said. Again, I’ll need to see it to believe it.

At this point, it seems likely BoringWin will be back on RHOC next season. She’s insufferable, but she obviously has a knack for creating drama no matter who or what is around. And no matter your opinion, her confusing relationship with Sean is like a car accident that you can’t stop looking at. And since she broke up with her first girlfriend, it’s unclear if we’ll see Braunwyn dating around or running back to Sean’s wallet arms. But there’s a glimmer of hope that Bravo will do the right thing and start fresh with an entirely new cast of women. Because after Season 15, this group seems past the point of no return.
