NeNe Leakes Doesn’t Think Marlo Hampton Should Get A Peach; Says “They’re Getting Everything They Need Right Now” From Her On Real Housewives Of Atlanta

Reality TV

Nene Leakes Real Housewives of Atlanta RHOA

Marlo Hampton may not be a full-time Housewife, but she delivered the drama last season on Real Housewives of Atlanta. During the bachelorette party trip, hell froze over when Marlo and Kenya Moore made up. Of course, Kenya wanted to out Porsha Williams as one of the RHOA cast members who got frisky with stripper Bolo. Porsha wasn’t happy to see her friend Marlo siding with Kenya.

Marlo accused Porsha of lying when she denied having sex with Bolo. At the dinner with Big Freedia in New Orleans, Marlo had a melt-down at the table because she was trapped in the middle between warring peaches Kenya and Porsha. Marlo was so extra during that dinner.

Porsha and her bestie, Shamea Morton, claimed that Marlo had liposuction before the New Orleans trip. I don’t know why this is such a big deal for these two ladies. Marlo admitted that she did go under the knife, but the timing was totally wrong.

Porsha also remarked that Marlo “rode NeNe’s [Leakes] coattail for years, okay? –Years.” And speaking of NeNe, she may be done with RHOA, but she will never be done talking about it.

During the Season 12 virtual reunion, NeNe dipped out and never returned. In September of 2020, NeNe announced that she was exiting RHOA. “There’s been a lot of emotions on both sides,” NeNe said. “It’s been hard and I have made a hard, difficult decision to not be part of Real Housewives of Atlanta season 13.” Andy Cohen hopped on Instagram to praise NeNe. “Nene Leakes is an icon of the genre. She is a gif and catchphrase machine,” Andy wrote.

Later that same month, NeNe went on Twitter and referred to Andy as “a racist.” She also accused talk show host, and frenemy, Wendy Williams of allegedly using cocaine. NeNe lobbied for viewers to boycott Bravo in December of 2020. And NeNe was also supposedly dismissed by her entire team in February of 2021. Ouch!

Still, NeNe views herself as the Beyonce of RHOA. She recently commented, “It’s kind of hard to have the group Destiny’s Child and take Beyoncé out and think you have Destiny’s Child.” Apparently,  it’s NeNe’s world, and we are just living in it.

According to the Atlanta Black Star, NeNe recently took aim at bestie Marlo during an interview on the Hollywood Unlocked podcast. The host, Jason Lee, remarked that he felt like Marlo earned her peach a long time ago. “No, I disagree,” NeNe responded. “The reason I disagree is because if you’ve been doing something for so long… I don’t see the network giving you a peach.” That is cold–even for NeNe.

She continued, “I am just speaking from my eyes and the way I view the network and the way television works. You have given everything for this amount of pay.” That is a valid point. “Why do they need to give you a peach? What’s going to change?” NeNe stated. “They’re getting everything they need right now. What are they gonna get when they give you a peach?”

Marlo brings so much fashion, and drama, to the show. I think she is overdue for a peach, but NeNe may be right about Marlo’s chances.
