Porsha Williams brought Falynn Guobadia onto Real Housewives of Atlanta as her friend. Well, it’s clear that friendship is dunzo.
On May 10, 2021 Porsha confirmed that she was in a relationship with Simon Guobadia, who is Falynn’s ex-husband. RHOA viewers were shook. The divorce was recent, but Porsha didn’t mind. In fact, Porsha’s baby daddy Dennis McKinley is good friends with Simon. This whole situation is beyond messy.
Porsha shared her news on Instagram. “Our relationship began a month ago—yes we are crazy in love. I know it’s fast but we are living life each day to its fullest,” she said. Porsha continued, “For all of you that need facts, I get the optics but Simon filed for divorce from a previous marriage in January. I had nothing to do with their divorce filing. That’s between the two of them.” Are you sure, Porsha?
“Falynn and I are not friends, and Simon’s divorce has been settled,” Porsha stated. “Our relationship is a positive, loving step forward in everybody’s lives.” Porsha may want to keep an eye on Simon. He was allegedly spending time with another woman he met on March 30, 2021.

But Simon confirmed that he already popped the question. He wrote on Instagram, “You affirm my believe that finding love is possible for everyone who genuinely seeks one. Getting married again was never a question in my mind, but when,” Simon said. “Did not expect to be blessed with a mate so soon.”
Yes–“soon” is the key word here. According to Falynn, Porsha may be mistaken about a few important facts. In a statement, Falynn said, “I am focusing on finalizing my divorce and healing. Sending positivity to all of you.” A screenshot showing some of the divorce documents was posted on Twitter. It states that Simon and Falynn didn’t file for divorce until mid-February. So much for Porsha’s assertion that the couple divorced in January and that it was all settled. If you have the feeling that this timeline is sketchy, I’m right there with you.

Porsha also dealt with social media backlash. Instagram followers blasted Porsha and Simon for their speedy engagement. And one user on Twitter posted that Porsha’s ring had originally been located on Falynn’s finger. Porsha clapped back, “That’s a lie.”
Anyway, Porsha’s ring from Simon is gigantic. According to US Weekly, Simon really went all out for his new love. Kathryn Money from Brilliant Earth stated that the ring “appears to feature a 10 to 15-carat emerald cut diamond set on a diamond adorned white gold or platinum band.” Of course, the price depends on the quality of the ring, but it likely cost Simon “approximately $500,000 to $1.25 million.” Wow.
