The first posthumous DMX album has been announced: Exodus is out May 28 via Def Jam. Swizz Beatz executive produced and produced the new record. He said in a press release:

My brother X was one of the most pure and rare souls I’ve ever met. He lived his life dedicated to his family and music. Most of all, he was generous with his giving and loved his fans beyond measure. This album, X couldn’t wait for his fans all around the world to hear and show just how much he valued each and every single person that has supported him unconditionally.

The cover art for Exodus, seen below, is by Jonathan Mannion. Exodus will mark the first DMX album for Def Jam since 2003’s Grand Champ.

DMX died on April 9 at the age of 50. His memorial service was held at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on Saturday, April 24.
