Kandi Burruss had a relatively tame season on the Real Housewives of Atlanta this year. She sent her daughter Riley Burruss to college, got angry at Kenya Moore for not sharing a crab cake and threw Cynthia Bailey the most Kandi Koated dungeon-themed bachelorette party, which we know got a little crazy. She’s been shady and pretty silent about the whole Bolo situation, even though we know she had no problem gossiping about it to her team.
Honestly, I wanted more from Kandi this season aside from her hilarious and on-point facial expressions. She finally got a little involved during the finale when Drew Sidora was taking things to another level, and we needed to see more of that. Plus, we had significantly fewer scenes with Mama Joyce this year, which is a total bummer. And while we know she has allll the tea on who slept with Bolo, she’s remained mum about the whole thing, to Kenya’s dismay.
During a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Kandi explained why she decided to zip her lips when it came to whether or not Porsha Williams and Tanya Sam got freaky with Bolo. A fan asked Kandi if Kenya was so upset with the other ladies because of they’re showing loyalty to Porsha.
“Kenya was definitely upset with me especially for not really discussing what went on that night,” Kandi responded. “She kinda felt like, ‘Why would you not talk about it? People have done you wrong in the past. You should just talk about it.’” This is textbook Twirl stirring the pot and rallying the troops on her side. It’s easy to picture her trying to rile Kandi up about her past problems with Porsha Luther King.

And Kandi recognizes that she’s on a reality show where they are supposed to talk about what happens. But she felt like spilling the dirt and going against girl code goes against her morals of “let your freak flag fly and don’t judge people for it,” she said. “I didn’t want to be in a position where I have to put somebody on the stake for having fun or doing whatever they want to do so it just put me in a weird situation.”
She added that Kenya is her girl, but the situation wasn’t something she wanted to be inserted into. Which I can respect — Let Porsha or whoever the “mystery” person who may or may not have slept with Bolo live their best life.

And Kenya has had her new friend Marlo Hampton on her side when it comes to trying to expose Porsha. Marlo has been bashing Porsha for talking bad about her and not showing her allegiance. And it is true that if you’re not with #TeamPorsha, you’re against them. At least, that’s how it works on RHOA.
