Tamra Judge Comments On Jen Shah’s Arrest; Says “If You’re Doing Something Illegal, Don’t Sign Up For The Real Housewives”

When Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Jen Shah was arrested on March 30, 2021, it came out of nowhere. Jen is facing federal charges of money laundering and conspiracy to commit wire fraud. It is alleged that Jen and her assistant, Stuart Smith, were part of a long-running telemarketing scam. Jen plead not guilty to the charges, as did Stuart.

The newest Housewives franchise was filming Season 2, and it was reported that the RHOSLC cast was in a van on the way to a cast trip. Bravo cameras were rolling when Jen suddenly had to leave. She was supposedly tipped off that she was about to be arrested. Jen told the group that her husband was hospitalized. She asked her aunt to pick her up, and then Jen was arrested on the side of the road.

A source at Bravo said that Jen will continue to film RHOSLC, as “production sees this as a great story line.” We all know what the second season will revolve around–even more Jen!

So, while Jen may be receiving some unwanted attention, one former Real Housewives of Orange County star is still craving the spotlight. That’s right, Tamra Judge is once again talking about something that has nothing to do with her.

US Weekly reported that Tamra discussed Jen’s legal predicament during an interview with Derek Zagami on RealiTea with Derek Z. The host asked Tamra her thoughts about Jen’s situation. Of course, Tamra went to town! The RHOC alum stated, “I don’t know a lot about the case … I’d like to say she’s innocent until proven guilty.” That’s big of you, Tamra.

“If you’re doing illegal stuff, you’re an idiot,” Tamra explained. “If you’re doing illegal stuff and go on a reality show, you’re a special type of idiot…Why go on reality TV if you’re doing criminal acts? You’re just asking for it.”

When asked by the host if Tamra had any advice for someone thinking of joining a Housewives franchise, she kept it simple. “So, my advice is to any future housewives, if you’re doing something illegal, don’t sign up for the Real Housewives,” Tamra remarked.
