‘Metal Lords’ Throws the Devil Horns With Netflix and Tom Morello!

Horror

While not horror, I love a good heavy metal comedy, which is why we acquired and released the nutso hilarious Heavy Trip two years ago.

Netflix is throwing devil horns with Rage Against the Machine’s Tom Morello, teaming to assemble the high school comedy Metal Lords, set to be directed by Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist‘s Peter Sollett.

The plotline is pretty relatable:

“Two kids want to start a heavy metal band in a high school where exactly two kids care about heavy metal.”

The cast includes Jaeden Martell, who starred in both Knives Out and the It films, with Isis Hainsworth (Misbehaviour, Emma) and Adrian Greensmith in his feature debut.

Morello is an executive producer. D. B. Weiss wrote the screenplay.
