‘Mortal Kombat’ Movie Releasing This Coming April in Theaters and on HBO Max!

We recently learned that all of WB’s 2021 movies will be hitting theaters and coming to HBO Max on the same days, and today Mortal Kombat has been given its new date.

The movie will release in theaters and on HBO Max April 16, 2021!

Producer Todd Garner broke the news on Twitter today, sharing the below poster art. Garner also promised that a trailer is coming in the new year, so don’t expect it this month.

Mortal Kombat is produced by James Wan for Atomic Monster, written by Greg Russo, and directed by Simon McQuoidBenjamin Wallfisch (It Chapter Two) is composing the score.

We’ve been promised a Rated “R” movie with gory fatalities.

The cast includes Ludi Lin as Liu Kang, Hiroyuki Sanada as Scorpion, Chin Han as Shang Tsun, Joe Taslim as Sub-Zero, Jessica McNamee as Sonya Blade, Josh Lawson as Kano, Mehcad Brooks as Jax, Tadanobu Asano as Raiden, stuntwoman Elissa Cadwell as Nitara, and Sisi Stringer as Mileena. Lewis Tan is playing an unknown leading character.
