Kate Chastain Interested In Joining Real Housewives Of New York; Reveals The Southern Charm Guy She’d Date

Bravo is trying really hard to make Kate Chastain a thing in her post-Below Deck life. First, Andy Cohen gave Kate a short-lived radio show. Now, she’s hosting a talk show with Porsha Williams, Gizelle Bryant, and Hannah Berner. She also appears on special editions of Below Deck Med episodes, which are just the previous week’s episode with additional commentary from Kate.

However, she’s actually interested in joining another Bravo TV show.

Kate told Us Weekly that she’d “probably” join a Real Housewives show if she was asked. For the record, she currently lives in New York City. She’d be down to be a “Friend” on the show, which is a part-time role.

Kate explained, “It’s pretty much like Below Deck. You get to drink and talk about the people on the show in confessionals without the work … and you don’t have to wear a uniform, [so] that sounds great.” I’m surprised Bravo hasn’t thrown her into the mix yet, considering how hard they’re pushing her entertainment career these days.

She revealed, “My old tagline used to be: I may have a resting bitch face, but that’s the only part of me that’s ever resting. But since I stopped yachting, I’m doing a lot of resting.” So, now that Kate isn’t working on a yacht that tagline doesn’t totally fit, but someone on production could come up with a better one for Kate.

She also dished on the Southern Charm guys, sharing, “Austen [Kroll] and I had a little moment at BravoCon where he asked me what show I was on and I told him, Housewives of Thailand, and he was, like, ‘Really, seriously?’ [He] believed me.

Kate concluded, “Since then he had a good laugh about it, and he had a good sense of humor about it.”

But, when it comes down to picking her favorite Southern Charm guy, Kate answered that she would marry Craig Conover. She explained, “I love throw pillows. I’ve never met a throw pillow that I did not have to buy.” And, if she married Craig, she’d get a lifetime supply of free pillows, or at least that’s what I imagine when I think about a marriage with Craig.

Kate joked, “Obviously, we’re soulmates.” Kate said she’d date Austen and she would ditch Shep Rose. That sounds right to me.
