‘Resident Evil’ Creator Shinji Mikami Talks About His Career And The Horror Genre in New Interview

Horror

While it’s not quite Resident Evil Village-related, any time you have Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami talking about his legendary series, it’s worth a listen. That’s what you’re getting from this interview with Mikami, courtesy of YouTube channel Archipel (who have made it a habit of interviewing various Japanese game creators).

In celebration of his 30 years in the industry, Mikami chats it up not only about the series that he unleashed on the masses way back in 1996, but about the horror genre itself. This is actually only the first part of the interview, which will have its second part premiere on October 29th.

Meanwhile, Resident Evil Village will be launching next year for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam. And if you’re interested in supporting Archipel in their efforts, you can visit their Patreon.
