Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Kim Kardashian West is contemplating her biggest fear, which is spiders, in an effort to keep her daughter North West happy. The Kardashians are wrapping up filming for their final season of the show, as KUWTK season 19 currently airs.
KUWTK is ending after 14 years of filming, and the Kardashian family is getting ready to take on the next chapter of their lives. Throughout the duration of the show, the Kardashian/Jenner sisters have shared their highs and their lows. They have tried new things that were out of their comfort zones, including professional cuddling. While they have been open to trying new things, they have also been upfront about some fears that they are just not ready to face. Kim Kardashian has made it known several times that she has an extreme fear of spiders.
The time has come for Kim to get past her fear of spiders for sake of daughter North West’s happiness. According to Yahoo Entertainment, in the latest KUWTK sneak peek, Kim sits down with sister Khloe Kardashian to talk about how her biggest fear is now North’s biggest obsession. This is not just an obsession. North wants to get a spider as a pet. However, she doesn’t want just any spider; she wants a tarantula. Kim opened up to Khloe about North begging her for a pet tarantula on multiple occasions. In the episode preview, Kim told Khloe that it’s “absolutely never going to happen.” Kim pulled the typical mom card by saying, “As long as she’s living under my roof, never going to happen.” Khloe advised her sister to move past her fear of spiders, and Kim became defensive, comparing it to Khloe’s fear of whales. During the preview clip, Kim Kardashian went on to tell Khloe a story about how she tried to get out of buying North a pet tarantula. North is a smart girl, though. She used her cuteness to her advantage in an effort to convince her mom to take her to a pet store. Kim agreed to take North to the store to just look at pet tarantulas. However, Kim had a hidden agenda. Upon arriving at the pet store, Kim tried to bribe the employee with $100 in an effort to scare North, so she’d stop wanting a pet tarantula. She told the worker, “Just say they’re mean to kids, not good pets, they bite everyone, say whatever you gotta say.” Despite repeatedly offering to pay, Kim’s offer was declined. In fact, the employee encouraged North to buy the spider, sharing that they make great pets. North was even able to hold one for herself. Kim told Khloe that her backup plan was to come up with a fake news story about kids dying from spider bites to stop North West’s obsession.
It looks like Kim has a big decision to make. The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star likely never thought one of her kids would be so invested in spiders, and she now has to decide what’s more important… hiding from her fears or making her daughter happy.
