Monique Samuels Says “There’s Nowhere To Go But Up” After Fight With Candiace Dillard

Reality TV

Monique Samuels Real Housewives of Potomac RHOP

After the most recent episode of Real Housewives of Potomac, viewers are still reeling. We all knew the fight between Candiace Dillard and Monique Samuels was coming. But man, it was a doozy. What we weren’t prepared for, is how quickly lines were drawn as to who was at fault.

Prior to the fight, fans were busy going over their own theories on why they were even beefing to begin with. Then it all happened and social media has been lit up with trying to figure out who initiated physical contact. We’ve seen the tape, some of us (ok, me) have slowed it down, trying to see if the hair pull came before the vest grab. But honestly, does it even matter at this point? Physical violence is bad and both women played a role in their own demise.

Of course both women have their own version of events. But while Candiace has taken a somber tone, Monique seems to be just a tad more positive.

Dodging any responsibility, Monique tweeted, “The blessing of experiencing lows means there’s no where to go but UP! Keep watching to see the entire journey. I’m grateful for my ups and my downs because they help me grow. I’ll continue to look for the positives wrapped within the negatives and move forward.” I have to disagree, there are lower places these two could go. Especially if one of them doesn’t want to own up to her part in the whole thing. AHEM, Monique.

Monique went on to say, “If I knew then (triggers) what I know now… none of this would have escalated this way smh #rhop #growth.” I’m still not hearing her admit any wrongdoing.

She also shifted the blame to Candiace, saying, “I didn’t swing/punch until after I was hit in the face with a glass.” Now, Monique. You can hashtag “replay” all you want, which she did, but is it really fair to say you only threw a punch after being hit with a wine glass? You had a death grip on Candiace’s hair! I know plenty of people stan Monique, and they were out in full force for that tweet. One fan tweeted, “Truth! That’s assault.” So is grabbing someone’s hair but…..

Monique wasn’t done and continued to tweet, “I hear her still talking… now it’s over.” It is over but WE aren’t over it. So let us do out investigations and take sides, woman! And by us I mean me. Ok, and everyone else. You can’t fault us for being invested as fans.

She was finally done and said, “Wow. That escalated so fast.” Users were quick to jump on that one. One fan quickly clapped back, “Girl, ya ass started it.”

So. There is plenty of footage out there on social media to review the replays and draw our own conclusions. The big question is: what’s yours?

TELL US – ARE YOU TEAM MONIQUE OR TEAM CANDIACE? DO YOU BELIEVE MONIQUE’S VERSION OF EVENTS? DO YOU THINK EITHER OF THEM SHOULD BE FIRED FOR GETTING PHYSICAL?
