Emmys 2020: Zendaya Wins Outstanding Lead Actress for Euphoria

Music, News

Zendaya has won the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama for her role as Rue in HBO’s Euphoria. Zendaya took home the trophy over Jodie Comer (Killing Eve), Sandra Oh (Killing Eve), Laura Linney (Ozark), Olivia Colman (The Crown), and Jennifer Aniston (The Morning Show). She’s the youngest woman in history to win that award.

Tonight marks the first-time Emmy win for Zendaya. Euphoria was nominated for five Emmys at this year’s ceremony: Outstanding Music Composition for a Series (Original Dramatic Score), Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics, Outstanding Music Supervision, Outstanding Contemporary Costumes, and Outstanding Contemporary Makeup (Non-Prosthetic).
