Emmys 2020: Ludwig Göransson Wins Outstanding Music Composition for The Mandalorian

Music, News

Ludwig Göransson has won the 2020 Emmy Award for Outstanding Music Composition for a Series (Original Dramatic Score). The composer was honored for his work on The Mandalorian. It’s Göransson’s first Emmy Award.

Göransson’s award is not to be confused with the Emmy for Outstanding Music Composition for a Limited Series, Movie, or Special (Original Dramatic Score). That award went to Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross for Watchmen.

Ludwig Göransson is best known for his work with Childish Gambino, taking home two Grammy Awards for “This Is America” in 2019. That same year, he won the Grammy Award for Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media for his work on Black Panther. He also won the 2019 Oscar for Best Original Score for Black Panther.
