Life hasn’t been all diamonds and roses lately for Vanderpump Rules star Lisa Vanderpump. Lisa announced that her beloved restaurant, Villa Blanca, is permanently closed. Lisa and her husband, Ken Todd, are being sued in a class action lawsuit brought by a SUR employee. The employee, Olivia Beverly Hanson, is alleging that the couple violated California labor laws.

In June, Pump Rules cast members Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute were axed from the show for racist behavior. In 2018, the duo called the police on former co-star Faith Stowers and accused her of drugging and robbing men. Newbie cast members Brett Caprioni and Max Boyens also received pink slips once racially insensitive tweets from the past reappeared. Wow…just wow.

Stassi was swiftly dropped by several brands. Her public relations firm cut ties with her, and her podcast had been yanked from all streaming platforms.

But during this stressful time, Stassi and her fiancé Beau Clark dropped the happy news that they are expecting a baby girl in January. Stassi and Beau must be thrilled to be expanding their family.

Us Weekly reported that Lisa discussed her feelings about the firings in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. Lisa shared, “I think it’s sad, really, what happened, because I do think that people can learn from their mistakes, and I’m all about that.”

“Of course, we do know that we’re in this momentum of really people kind of standing up for what’s right, and I’m all about that and embracing that — and I do believe in zero tolerance for that — but I also believe that you can come back from that and you’re young and you can learn from it,” Lisa stated.

The restaurateur believes in second chances. “So, if it were up to me, I would like to see them go on but really have a better understanding of where they went wrong and really, you know — I’m not into just kind of getting rid of people, because they get it wrong,” Lisa remarked. “Otherwise, I’d probably have nobody working for me at this point.” That is probably true.

“Stassi hadn’t worked for me for a couple of years, nor had Kristen. So that part wasn’t down to me really at all. It’s not my decision,” the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum explained. “And I think that was then and this is now, but I’m all about giving people second chances, yes, but also about holding people accountable.”

So, are Lisa and Stassi still in touch? After all, when Beau popped the question during Season 8, Lisa hosted a lavish engagement party for Beau and Stassi at her home, Villa Rosa.

Lisa said that she has “reached out” to Stassi “two or three” times in the past few months, but they haven’t spoken yet.  “I haven’t heard back from [Stassi] and I really, you know, I do love them both,” Lisa stated. She said that she would understand if Stassi decided to “step away” in order to enjoy “a happy time in her life” with Beau.
