“What We Do in the Shadows” and “Stranger Things” Scare Up “Outstanding Series” Emmy Nominations

This year’s Emmy nominations were just announced this afternoon, and we were happy to see some genre representation on the list of shows being recognized for their excellence in the past year. FX’s “What We Do in the Shadows” has been nominated for “Outstanding Comedy Series,” while Netflix’s “Stranger Things” is nominated for “Outstanding Drama Series.”

The first-ever “Thanksgiving of Horror” episode of “The Simpsons,” a spinoff of the annual “Treehouse of Horror” specials, was nominated for “Outstanding Animated Program.”
