Homelander Takes a Leak on New Yorkers in New Boys Season 2 Poster

Homelander takes a leak on New Yorkers in a new promo poster for season two of the Amazon Prime hit, The Boys. The show is based on a comic book series of the same name by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson. What makes The Boys such a compelling watch is the show’s complete dedication to subverting every superhero trope in the book, with the character of Homelander being the prime example.

Amazon’s series had already completed filming before the coronavirus pandemic shut down countless productions, and The Boys season 2 is set to premiere on September 4th. There has definitely been an uptake in promotional material for the highly anticipated second season, like the teaser trailer showing Billy Butcher and the Boys on the run from the law. However, it’s this recently released promo poster of Homelander taking a leak on New Yorkers that really takes the cake. It’s an image that brilliantly sums up who the real villains of the show are, without saying a word. Check out the full promo poster courtesy of The Boys‘ official Twitter page below.

Homelander is the leader of the Seven, the top group of superheroes or “supes,” in The Boys. There were multiple instances in the show’s first season that demonstrated Homelander’s downright evil spirit. From shooting down a plane with his laser vision to killing the only woman who slightly cared about him, Homelander was the primary antagonist of season one, and will likely be even worse in season two.

The Boys season 1 set the bar high for the series and definitely left off on a huge cliffhanger. Will Homelander enact his revenge against the vigilante group threatening his power in the second season? Fans will have to wait until September to find out.
