Spider-Man Fights The Mandalorian in Crazy Marvel vs Star Wars Fan Art

Movies

Spider-Man battles the Mandalorian in recent Marvel vs. Star Wars fan art. Both characters have become standouts of their respective franchises recently. Though Spider-Man is an established Marvel comics hero, Tom Holland’s take on the character has helped him increase in popularity. Spider-Man has also been a welcome addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with fans enjoying his interactions with the other Avengers. The positive reception to Holland’s performance led to two solo movies, with a third on the way next year.

Meanwhile, as Star Wars’ first live-action TV series, The Mandalorian was an instant success for Disney+ and Lucasfilm when it premiered last year. Though Baby Yoda received a lot of attention, fans also fell in love with the titular Mandalorian, played by Pedro Pascal. As a result, The Mandalorian season 2 will debut in October of this year and is already shaping up to be an exciting run of episodes. Many notable Star Wars characters, such as Boba Fett and Ahsoka Tano, will appear further connecting The Mandalorian to the larger Star Wars universe. Season 3 is already in development as well, proving Disney+ continues to have big plans for the show.

The Spider-Man vs. Mandalorian fan art comes from Camille Vialet, who shared the work on Instagram. In it, Spider-Man is in the air above the Mandalorian and is wearing his classic Iron Spider suit. From this angle, it appears Spider-Man is winning the fight, though the Mandalorian could make a comeback. Check out the Marvel vs. Star Wars fan art below:

Since Spider-Man and the Mandalorian come from two completely different franchises, it’s unlikely fans will ever actually see a fight like this one play out on the big screen. However, that’s what makes fan art so fun. The Marvel vs. Star Wars concept is an ongoing series by Vialet. Previous battles have included Captain America vs. Darth Maul, Rey vs. Captain Marvel, and Darth Revan vs. War Machine. The matchups between heroes are especially interesting, as one would assume Rey and Captain Marvel, for instance, would be on the same side.

Ironically, though Marvel and Star Wars are separate entities, both are owned by Disney. It’s still unlikely characters from either franchise will ever cross over to the other, but it is fun to imagine what it would like if that were to happen. Based on this art alone, it seems like Spider-Man would defeat the Mandalorian, but fans shouldn’t count out the Star Wars character. Though the Mandalorian and Spider-Man may never meet onscreen, fans can enjoy this art imaging an epic battle between them.
