Why Jax Taylor is distancing himself from Lance Bass’ company

Reality TV

Bye, bye, bye.

Jax Taylor is distancing himself from Just Add X, his drink mixer company with Lance Bass, as “Vanderpump Rules” viewers petition for his firing over his insensitive comments.

When Bass’ “Daily Popcast” costars Giggles and Turkey began to discuss Taylor’s behavior on an episode released Monday, Bass, 41, stepped in to clarify that his working relationship with Taylor has suffered as a result of the reality star’s actions.

“It’s gonna cost him everything and he’s stepping down from Just Add X, which you know, we have to,” the singer said. “We can’t be involved and associated with any of this going down. We have to do the right thing.”

Taylor, 40, has recently come under fire for insinuating that his costar, Ariana Madix, is a lesbian (she has spoken openly about her bisexuality), hiring a pastor who made anti-LBBTQ+ remarks to officiate his June 2019 wedding before Bass stepped in to do the honors, and for accusing former cast member Faith Stowers of committing crimes among other controversial remarks.

While Taylor has not been axed from Bravo yet, close to 2,500 fans have signed a Change.org petition calling on the network to fire him as of publication time.

Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute were fired last week after past racist behavior towards Stowers resurfaced alongside Max Boyens and Brett Caprioni, who were let go over racist tweets from 2012.

Bass could see Taylor as the next fired star, saying on the podcast: “I do not see Bravo keeping him. This will keep getting bigger and bigger.”

A rep for Taylor did not immediately get back to us.
