Vanderpump Rules Cast Member Brett Caprioni Speaks Out After Getting Fired

The fall out continues. Just yesterday, news dropped that four cast members of Vanderpump Rules were fired for racist behavior. To the shock of fans, Stassi Schroeder, Kristen Doute, Max Boyens and Brett Caprioni were the ones let go. Stassi and Kristen for making false accusations against Faith Stowers. Max and Brett for racist tweets that resurfaced.

The damage is far and wide for them. Stassi has lost sponsors and her podcast has been removed from all platforms. She’s been dumped by both her PR firm and her agent. The publisher of Kristen’s newly released book will run from her if they are smart. Max and Brett lost a prime opportunity to be on TV and leverage it like the rest of the cast has. In short, they all blew it. But Bravo and the fans have spoken and racism in any form will not be tolerated. Which is exactly how it should be.

Now Brett is speaking out about his firing. In an exclusive statement to Us Weekly, Brett says,“While I’m disappointed to no longer be part of the cast, I respect Bravo’s decision. I continue to be truly sorry for the insensitive comments I made in the past and have worked within my community to repair the damage I’ve caused.”

He said, “I have learned a lot and grown from the experience but understand that it’s not enough. I will continue to do more regardless of my affiliation with VPR because it’s the right thing to do.”

Now I’m curious to know what exactly he’s going to do when he says “do more”. While it sounds good, elaborating on his intentions would be a step in the right direction. Anyone can say they plan on “doing more”.

Brett also had to answer for his actions on the first part of the season 8 reunion. He told viewers, “It wasn’t OK then, it’s not OK now. It’s something I regret deeply, and it was just kind of making jokes with each other, like we’d literally be in the same room and just say stupid s–t to each other, and it was a dumb f–king thing to do. I’m doing my best to move forward and be the best person I can be.”
