‘Train to Busan Presents: Peninsula’ Posters Prepare to Escape the Apocalypse

Horror

Announced as an Official Selection of Cannes, Bloody Disgusting has the very first look at a pair of new posters for Yeon Sang-ho‘s Train to Busan Presents: Peninsula, which will be released presumably later this year through Well Go USA.

In the film, “Four years after South Korea’s total decimation in Train to Busan, Jung-seok (Gang Dong-won), a soldier who previously escaped the diseased wasteland, relives the horror when assigned to a covert operation with two simple objectives: retrieve and survive. When his team unexpectedly stumbles upon survivors, their lives will depend on whether the best—or worst—of human nature prevails in the direst of circumstances.”

Actress Lee Jung-hyun plays one of the survivors, alongside child actress Lee Re – whom Yeon told ScreenDaily he thinks will become “more [popular] than Ma Dong-seok [aka Don Lee] in Train to Busan”.

Yeon Sang-ho‘s Train to Busan is easily one of the best zombie films ever made and the trailer for its sequel looks to up the ante tenfold.
