In some non-Chromatica but still very much Lady Gaga news, the singer has admitted that the Tiffany diamond necklace she wore to the 2019 Oscars ceremony was confiscated by security.

But it doesn’t quite end there. How did Lady Gaga round off her evening after winning an Oscar for Best Original Song (“Shallow” from A Star is Born) and being nominated for best actress?

She hitched a ride to Madonna’s house and then, while on their way for a quick pit-stop at a Taco Belll, had Tiffany security pull them over and confiscate the gem worth $30 million.

Lady Gaga had a $30 million diamond taken from her as she wanted to hit Taco Bell.

The “Stupid Love” hitmaker appeared on The Graham Norton Show Friday evening (May 29) where she told the driveby anecdote which, in itself, needs to be picked up by Netflix.

Appearing via video uplink, Lady Gaga described how the 128-carat yellow diamond she wore with a black dress was last worn by Audrey Hepburn during the Breakfast At Tiffany’s press tour in 1961.

So, you know, in wearing the diamond, the singer was surrounded by secutiry staff hired by the American luxury jeweller.

Tiffany’s offered Gaga the gem, and she told talk show host, Graham Norton, she wholly welcomed the chance to wear it: “The street kid in me from New York was like, ‘Hell yeah, I’m gonna work that big thing!’”

Norton asked whether the security hovering around her while she wore it snarled her night, and Gaga joked she felt like the “president”.

“I didn’t know what was going to happen that night – I was just so happy to be there. My sister and I were barrelling through champagne backstage and when we left, I didn’t tell anyone, and I still had the diamond on.

“Everyone freaked out that I was still wearing it.

“When I went to Madonna’s house, security guards were side-eyeing me and eventually, when we were heading to Taco Bell, my car was pulled over and Tiffany’s security politely removed it from my neck!”
