Kramer, the legendary Galaxie 500 producer, has shared a new song called “Forget.” It’s from his new collaboration with vocalist Xan Tyler. Check out the video below.
Kramer and Xan Tyler’s new project is called Let It Come Down, and the duo is releasing its debut album Songs We Sang in Our Dreams on June 12 (via Shimmy-Disc/Joyful Noise).
Kramer is Joyful Noise’s 2020 Artist-in-Residence. As part of his residency, Kramer will be releasing a 5xLP box set—featuring five different projects curated and created by Kramer—and relaunching his label Shimmy-Disc. Songs We Sang in Our Dreams is included in the set.
“I’m devoting the entirety of 2020 to the series,” Kramer explained in a statement. “I’ll be focusing on my work as an artist and collaborator, precisely as I did when Shimmy-Disc was operational in the ’80s and ’90s.”
