90 Day Fiance Alum Jesse Meester Will Look For Love On New Reality TV Show

Reality TV

It’s not an illusion.  And you did read that correctly.  90 Day Fiance alum Jesse Meester is back on TV and looking for love, sans Darcey Silva this time.  Jesse probably could have returned to reality TV earlier in time, but was likely waiting for Darcey’s season with Tom Brooks to air so he could absolve himself first.

Yes, Jesse put Darcey down at times and critiqued the way she ate pizza and cut steak, but seeing her needy and insecure behavior play out exactly the same way with Tom seems to point to a problem on her end more than anything.  Now, Jesse is ready to grace our screens with his presence again.

So what will this new TLC venture be?  According to People, Find Love Live is a virtual dating show where Jesse will be picking a date from three contestants.  The audience gets to vote too, but ultimately, the choice is Jesse’s and the initial contact is all virtual.  That sounds like most 90 Day Fiance relationships anyway, just without the visa restrictions.

Jesse gave a statement to People regarding his reason for joining the show.  “When the opportunity to appear on FIND LOVE LIVE came along, I thought it was an interesting avenue to explore and see if I could meet someone,”  Jesse said, “being quarantined at home shouldn’t stop up us from trying to make connections.”

If you’re still not convinced about whether to tune in or not, TLC President Howard Lee explained the premise of the show.  He said “the runaway success of relationship programming like the 90 Day Fiance franchise proves that the eternal story of love, of finding ‘the one,’ continues to captivate viewers.  Even in the days of social distancing, people want to make a meaningful connection and, hopefully, end up sharing their lives with that special someone.”

Will the couple be able to meet in person once quarantine is over?  No one is thinking that far ahead apparently.  All we know is, “what better way to celebrate love and togetherness than helping singles find their match virtually and for the rest of us to root for them in the process.”
