Hollywood Bowl Cancels 2020 Season Due to Coronavirus

Music, News

The Hollywood Bowl’s 2020 season has been called off. “This is to protect our audiences, musicians, employees, and community from the spread of COVID-19, consistent with and in response to the latest guidance from public health officials,” the Hollywood Bowl’s statement reads. This marks the first time a full season at the Hollywood Bowl has been canceled in the iconic Los Angeles amphitheater’s 98-year history.

Several musicians scheduled to play the Hollywood Bowl this year, including Bob Dylan and Alanis Morissette, had already canceled tours. Today’s announcement effectively canceled scheduled concerts from James Blake, Hall & Oates, Steely Dan, the Beach Boys’ July 4 concert, and more.
