The One World: Together at Home special came to a speculator close Saturday night as a constellation of stars – Lady Gaga, Céline Dion, Lang Lang, Andrea Bocelli and John Legend – came together over video uplink to sing “The Prayer”.
And it, reader, was glorious. We are ready to ascend now.
World-renowned concert pianist Lang Lang accompanied the four singers for the digital live stream, the joint efforts of Gaga, anti-poverty charity Global Citizens and the World Health Organization.
Dion and Gaga united their godly voices for the collaboration dreamt by stans for decades, as the pair alongside Bocelli and Legend pulled off a moving three-part harmony of the 1999 duet.
One which Gaga herself one said was go-to karaoke song.

Lady Gaga led an all-star concert to raise funds for coronavirus response efforts.
It was a star-studded special curated by the “Stupid Love” hitmaker, who has briefly suspended the release of her upcoming studio album Chromatica to raise funds for COVID-19 response efforts.
And raise she did. Gaga and hosts Jimmy Kimmel, Stephen Colbert, and Jimmy Fallon urged viewers to put their wallets and PayPal logins away.
After all, Gaga and the Global Citizen team had already raised more than $50 million before the special even began airing.
Gaga herself kicked-off the evening with a rendition of “Smile”, playing on the piano in her home. It later saw rousing renditions of songs that evoked the resilience and ingenuity of those on the frontline of the coronavirus pandemic, belted by singers such as Elton John and Sam Smith.
“It is so important to think globally and support the World Health Organization to curb the pandemic and prevent future outbreaks,” Gaga, who helped curate the all-star lineup, said at a news conference Monday.
“We want to highlight the gravity of this historical, unprecedented and cultural movement.”
