Tinsley Mortimer Real Housewives of New York city RHONY

The Bravo family of shows always gives us plenty of drama. But like any real family, they band together during tough times. The coronavirus has hit the whole world hard and so many Bravolebrities are pitching in and helping out. Bethenny Frankel has already delivered over 1 million protective suits to New York and Louisiana. Former RHONY housewife Jill Zarin started a program to feed essential medical workers battling on the front lines. Even Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz are donating their Cameo proceeds to TomTom workers out of work.

But the Bravo world still received devastating personal loss due to coronavirus. A few weeks ago, we heard the news of longtime RHONY editor Peter Gamba passing from coronavirus. Peter spent 12 years working on the iconic franchise.

Andy Cohen also donated, and talked kindly about his coworker on a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live. As reported by Page Six, Andy said, “He cut the very first episode of New York ‘Housewives’ back in Season 1. He’d call people into the bay for years after to chuckle at material he found. He spent the next 12 years editing such iconic episodes and moments that included Alex [McCord] and Simon [van Kempen] arriving at the Hamptons — that always gave him a chuckle — the ‘Tell me it’s not about Tom [D’Agostino], it’s about Tom’ episode in Miami, ‘Life is not a Cabaret,’ Luann [de Lesseps] looking up at the poster, Tinsley and Dale [Mercer] crying over the eggs, Luann falling into the bush.”

Andy continued, “He was the rock of post-production. He’s going to be missed by everyone who knew him, and his sense of humor and passion for his work will forever be remembered.”

RHONY cast member Sonja Morgan also  paid tribute on Twitter, writing, “#RIP Peter. Our editor. So sad. Prayers to his family. We will miss him.”

Reality Tea extends it’s heartfelt condolences to Peter’s family, along with everyone who knows and loves him.
