“90 Day Fiancé” star Alex Brovarnik’s was captured on camera over the weekend saving a man from drowning in the Bahamas.
On Sunday, his wife, Loren Brovarnick, shared the video of her husband’s heroic deed, and criticized the unnamed man’s “friends” for not stepping in to help.
“My husband was watching a guy who was beyond intoxicated, who was with his ‘friends’ who just stood there and watched!” she captioned the clip on Instagram. “The man went into the water and about drowned! As you can see, Alex is dragging out his unconscious body while his ‘friends’ did nothing!”
In the video, Alex, 32, can be seen carrying the man’s lifeless body to shore.
“Is he breathing?” the man recording yells out.
A group of people then rush to surround Alex and the unconscious man.
A fan asked in the comments if the man drowning survived, but Loren, 31, said she did not know.
“He got taken away in an ambulance … his friends did NOT go with him!!” she said. “A—holes! Alex and Sean have no idea who he is! We need to share this, find the guy and make sure he’s ok!”
The reality star added in the caption that her husband and his friend, Sean Apache Shields, were “meant to be at this beach at this exact time.”
“Because if not, who knows what could have happened!” she said. “My husband saved a mans life today! And I couldn’t be more proud, yet not surprised at the same time!”
A few people criticized Loren for sharing the video online, saying, “Good deeds that are recorded and shared for attention aren’t good deeds after all.”
Another fan said in her defense, “You don’t need attention, you’re already celebrities. Thnx for sharing awareness,” to which Loren responded, “We’re not celebrities baby. But thank you.”
Loren and Alex first appeared on “90 Day Fiancé” in Season 3, and got married on the show. They are now expecting their first child together, and star on TLC’s “Pillow Talk.”
