Live Review: The Hailers, Scott Page, Kenny Olson, and Sohojohnny @ The Killer Yacht Club, Marina Del Rey, 1/25/20

The Night is chaos, with the sphere of dimension and dreams, collaborating with ghosts and demons, bright stars and Rock N Roll….

In the hidden, mysterious speakeasy, “The Killer Yacht Club” located in the depths of the Killer Shrimp Restaurant along the Marina Del Rey deep blue harbor, the Grammy nominated Hailers featuring Scott Page on Saxophone, lead singer and guitarist Robert Mills, bassist April Carson, drummer Billy DiBlasi, Harlan Spector on keys and Al Keith percussion, performed 3 epic sets of Killer music.

Tantalizing the congregation Robert Mills is a true rocker with his catchy original tunes, vibrant guitar riffs, and classic look. The Hailers are a good solid band that make explosive music with a sonic sensibility. Billy on the drums catches the rhyme in the beat with ease, while April slams the bass strings with conviction. Percussionist Al and Harlan on keys sets the musical vibe. Scott Page the iconically epic Pink Floyd saxophone master keeps the band soulful and sexy….

Friends joined the mix as well. The legendary guitarist Kenny Olson from “Experience Hendrix”, jumped on stage and blasted the crowd with his inspirational mastery. Owner of the club John Reda also showed his magic on guitar. A barrage of musicians followed in the footsteps both on guitar and on the drums, as well as singer Ashley.

Recording artist and top promoter SohoJohnny confidently took the stage for his LA live debut . SohoJohnny is not one to dream his dreams, he lives them with a fiery passion. Singing “Long Train Running” by the Doobie Brothers. He looked great, sounded vibrant…and brought about a joyful blast to the house.

The Killer Yacht Club is an intimate venue with the quivering vibe of the Moulin Rouge in Paris in the 1900’s without the Cancan. Aggressions are dismissed, and worries erased through the power of music, dance and magic. Each Thursday night Perkins and Page bring authentic and iconic musicians to the venue and on certain Saturdays you can catch supergroup  Think: EXP….If you’re looking for a fun memory and hours of live music, check it out….
