Real Housewives Of Orange County star Vicki Gunvalson has spoken out to deny being homophobic, after she took exception to an on-air same-sex kiss.

In a reunion episode that aired on December 26, the Bravo star had challenged her female co-stars Braunwyn Windham-Burke and Tamra Judge over a kiss they shared.

Real Housewives Of Orange County star told co-stars to ‘turn it down’ after kiss

During the fiery exchange ,she said: “I don’t like the kissing… I’m sorry, I don’t. I think it’s disrespectful.

“Do it off-camera! Fifteen years, I started this show, we don’t do that. Turn it down, Braunwyn, turn it down!”

The comments led some fans to question Gunvalson’s over-the-top reaction to two women kissing.

However, the Bravo star took to Instagram to deny she is homophobic.

Vicki Gunvalson: All kissing on TV is inappropriate

In a video, she said: “I’ve been seeing some things on social media where people are portraying me as homophobic.

“I’m going to hit it right head on, I am not homophobic. I’ve got family members that are gay and lesbian, and Bravo fans, personal friends… I’m not.

“What I did say is I don’t think it’s appropriate for Braunwyn to be making out on TV, I don’t care if it’s with her husband or Tamra or anybody.

“I just think it’s inappropriate. If she wants to go do that, go do that off camera.”

She added: “I don’t really think we all need to see it. I’m sorry if you all took it any differently to what the truth is.

“The truth is, the girl bugs me, so pretty much anything she does would bug me. I wish all of you the very best.”

Of course, straight people kiss on TV all the time and nobody seems to think that is “inappropriate.”

Real Housewives has developed a huge following since its first version of the series, called The Real Housewives of Orange County, premiered in 2006.

Since then, Real Housewives has gone to New York, Atlanta, New Jersey and Washington, D.C.
