Devon Sawa Stars in ‘Death Rider’, Glenn Danzig’s Vampire Spaghetti Western!

Horror

As we wait for Glenn Danzig‘s hotly-anticipated Verotika to arrive on VOD platforms sometime next year, the film continues to quietly tour across the country. Those in Philadelphia got the chance to experience the next great so-bad-it’s-good movie when it screened tonight at the Philadelphia Film Society.

Danzig was on hand for the screening and dropped two bombs during the film’s Q+A.

Not only is Devon Sawa (Casper, Final Destination, Idle Hands, The Fanatic) starring in Danzig’s Vampire Spaghetti Western, but the film is already close to wrapping production.

Also, a quick Google search turned up the film’s title: Death Rider. Fuck. Yeah.

Unfortunately, the rest of the cast for the Asylum production is being kept under wraps, but what we do know is that the score is already completed and that everyone in the film is a bloodsucker.

“The soundtrack has been done for two years and of course it sounds almost exactly like an Ennio Morricone soundtrack,” Danzig told audiences in Los Angeles earlier this year. “I think I’m actually going to do a small part in it too.

Everybody in the movie is a vampire,” he added. “So, you won’t have to wait around to see the vampire. They’re all fucking vampires!”

Danzig’s Verotika has become an instant cult sensation and the talk of the town. For those who are dying to see it, watch for more tour dates and release news in early 2020.
