Joker Weird Trailer Brings in Harley Quinn and Other Movie Jokers

Movies

Aldo Jones is back with another Weird Trailer that takes aim at Todd Phillips’ Joker. Jones has been making his crazy pop culture explosion trailers for a long time now, and he seems to be getting better and better. Obviously, Joaquin Phoenix isn’t the first actor to portray the Clown Prince of Crime, so there was a lot of room to spread out and give the other actors some time to shine in the new Weird Trailer. Even Tommy Wiseau gets his version of the Joker into the bizarre clip.

Joker is still in the box office top ten and recently cleared the $1 billion mark. The movie is still being talked about, which means that it was a prime candidate for Aldo Jones to work his magic on. Jared Leto and Heath Ledger all make appearances in the Weird Trailer more than once and they seem to fit in quite seamlessly, as does Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn from Suicide Squad. For those who are wondering how Jones makes his videos, he offers up a short tutorial at the beginning of the trailer.

Elsewhere in this latest weird trailer, Donkey Kong makes and appearance, and so does the Predator, along with Yondu from the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise. Nelson and his gang of bullies from The Simpsons are the ones to beat up on Arthur Fleck in this twisted take on the movie, while Jim Carrey’s Dr. Robotnik from Sonic the Hedgehog plays Fleck’s therapist. As for the now-iconic stairs dance, Carrey once again joins Fleck, but as Ace Ventura. Matthew Perry from Friends comes along for some dance moves too.

It’s really pretty amazing to see how much pop culture Aldo Jones was able to throw into the Joker Weird Trailer. Elon Musk and Tesla’s Cybertruck, which was just announced, makes a cameo with some window smashing. As with all of the Weird Trailers, there’s a lot going on and it’s all very weird, which is why fans keep coming back for more. It would be interesting to get Todd Phillips’ take on the trailer to see if he found it entertaining at all. One would think he’d at least find it humorous.

The Joker movie took the comic book genre and turned it on its head, giving fans something that they didn’t even know they wanted. Many comic book fans were very skeptical about what Todd Phillips and Joaquin Phoenix were cooking up, especially when they said the story was not really going to be based on the comics. Instead, they went with a more human character study about Arthur Fleck’s slow descent into madness. Does he really become the Clown Prince of Crime at the end of the movie, or is it all in his head? That’s the question Phillips and Phoenix want fans to keep asking. You can check out the weird trailer below, thanks to Aldo Jones’ YouTube channel. The Joker footage starts at the 1:34 mark.
