Point Horror In Development from HBO Max and R.L. Stine!

Horror

If you were a child at any point there is a good chance that you read a Goosebumps book penned by the author of childhood nightmares, R. L. Stine.

After two Goosebumps films, they are not only adapting Stine’s Fear Street books into a movie trilogy, but Variety has reported that HBO Max is working on an anthology horror series based on Scholastic’s “Point Horror” books, some of which were penned by Stine as well.

“It’s described as an anthology series that exposes the horrors of being a teenager. Each episode of the show will be inspired by one of the books in the series, told for today’s audiences but with a nostalgic nod to the 1990s.”

The show is going to be coming from Lionsgate and Picturestart and is set to be titled “Point Fear” with Stine set as Executive Producer and Crazy Rich Asians Jon M. Chu is in talks to direct.
