Nene Leakes Denies That Kenya Moore Had Anything To Do With Her Delayed Return To Real Housewives Of Atlanta

It’s great to have Kenya Moore back on Real Housewives of Atlanta. We really needed her last season. Or at least that’s how I felt. NeNe Leakes, on the other hand, did not feel the same way. She was livid when Kenya showed up to Cynthia Bailey’s party during the Season 11 finale. NeNe and Cynthia even ended their friendship over that “betrayal.”

When it was announced that Kenya would return to RHOA, many fans eagerly anticipated some heated exchanges between the Housewives. Instead, we got some flashback clips and no new NeNe footage. NeNe has been absent from the first two episodes, but she will come face to face with Cynthia this week at the Pride parade. Eva Marcille, Marlo Hampton, and Cynthia’s daughter Noelle Robinson will be there too, but the marquee event is NeNe and Cynthia’s first encounter in months. With that said, I have to assume that there will be a lot of build up, followed by a cliffhanger at the end, to keep us on the edge of our seats until next week. I hope I’m wrong, but that’s just how I see this going based on my many years of Real Housewives viewership.

NeNe addressed her absence from Season 12 in a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight. Of course, she denied that it had anything to do with Kenya. She remarked, “I wouldn’t give her that much credit. She also claimed that she “doesn’t have a feeling” or “a thought” about Kenya. Sure. What about all of the shade NeNe threw on social media and interviews during the past few months? Do those comments just not constitute “thoughts”?  even though Kenya has slammed NeNe repeatedly in interviews promoting her return.

NeNe theorized, “These girls, to me, all seem to want to be the queen or the one that everybody thinks of when they say, ‘Housewives,’ and I don’t think that that’s possible.” She added, “I think there’s one queen and there’s a lot of princesses.” Let’s be honest: love her or hate her, all roads lead to NeNe on Real Housewives of Atlanta. Yes, there are other things going on, but the most iconic incidents usually involve NeNe.

What about the people who want that crown? NeNe commented, “They can try, they can do whatever they do. I don’t own this platform, you know what I’m saying? I honestly want to see the show stay around, so, do whatever you do, ’cause a lot of things I’m not gonna do.”

She seems unbothered, right? Kenya’s return doesn’t seem to irk her at all. NeNe is so calm, cool, and collected. HAHAHA. Not by a long shot, but I cannot wait for Cynthia to read, Cynthia, Kenya, and anyone else who doesn’t suck up to her who annoys her.
